My laptop was closed and Claude was still working
Howdy,
I tested something this week that changes how I use Claude Code.
You can now schedule tasks in the cloud.
Daily code reviews, security scans, scraper jobs.
They fire exactly when you set them, even if your laptop is closed.
I set one up for my community app.
It checks every day at 8am that all the YouTube videos and Skool posts have been scraped and updated.
Used to rely on my laptop being open for this.
Not anymore.
Then there's Channels.
I connected Claude Code to Telegram and started running commands from my phone.
Created files on my desktop, checked project status, even sent voice messages that it transcribed and responded to.
I bought a dedicated Mac just to keep this running 24/7.
That's how useful it is.
Two things to know before you set it up:
-> Cloud tasks need the browser version, not the desktop app
-> Channels require your laptop to stay on (cloud tasks don't)
Full walkthrough where I set up both features live.
